On Saturday 28th August, the Feast of the Dormition of the Most Holy Mother of God, Archbishop Elisey of Sourozh celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of the Dormition of the Mother of God in London. All the clergy of the Cathedral concelebrated with Vladyka on the Patronal Feast.
During the festive Divine Liturgy Archbishop Elisey ordained reader Igor Khomenets into the rank of subdeacon.
After the service Vladyka greeted the congregation with the great feast of the Dormition of the Mother of God.
The celebration continued with a festive meal at the hall of the Cathedral with the presence of Archbishop Elisey, the clergy and the parishioners.
In the evening of 29th August Archbishop Elisey of Sourozh together with the clergy of the Cathedral of the Dormition celebrated the Burial of the Mother of God. After the Procession of the Cross the Shroud of the Mother of God was put in the middle of the Cathedral for the veneration of the clergy and laity.
