On Bright Thursday, 8 April, Archbishop Elisey of Sourozh made his first archpastoral visit to the emerging community in Kingston-upon-Hull, dedicated to the the Nativity of Christ.
Vladyka celebrated the evening service. Afterwards there was a meeting with the congregation, where the prospects for the development of the parish, elections to the parish council, the establishment of a parish school and other important issues were discussed.
The first Divine Liturgy in Hull was celebrated with the blessing of Archbishop Elisey by Archpriest Gennadiy Andreev in December 2009.
