The traditional Pan-Orthodox Vespers was celebrated in London on 21 February, on the day of the Triumph of Orthodoxy, in presence of hierarchs, clergy and laity of the Constantinopolitan, Antiochian, Russian, Georgian, Serbian and other Local Orthodox Churches in Great Britain. In accordance with the established sequence, this year Vespers took place in the Serbian Cathedral in London. Ektenias and chants were performed in English, Church Slavonic, Greek and Arabic by choirs from different Orthodox churches of London.
The Russian Orthodox Church was presented by Archbishop Elisey of Sourozh, Archbishop Anatoliy of Kerch, as well as by archpriest Maxim Nikolsky, Archpriest Mikhail Dudko, priest Joseph Skinner and protodeacon Dimitry Nedostupenko. Metropolitan Kallistos of Diokleia (Patriarchate of Constantinople) delivered a sermon in which he marked the importance of the joint services for all Orthodox believers and remembered his 45 years of experience of participating in them. A joint meal took place after the service.
