« Pastoral visit to the city of Hull »

With the blessing of Bishop Elisey of Sourozh , Fr Maxim Mitrofanov, priest of the London Dormition Cathedral made a pastoral visit to Kingston-upon-Hull, West Yorkshire.

The Russian Orthodox community in Hull numbers several hundred people from Russia and East-European countries, as well as English people who have become Orthodox.

During his visit, Fr Maxim performed a Baptism and celebrated a moleben with the blessing of water and a memorial service.

The necessity of opening a parish of the Sourozh Diocese in Hull was discussed during the conversation after the service.
