On 26th November, the Feast of St John Chrysostom, Archbishop of Constantinople, his Grace Elisey, Bishop of Sourozh, celebrated the third anniversary of his Episcopal consecration. On this day, three years ago, Vladyka Elisey was consecrated as Bishop of Bogorodsk, Vicar of the Diocese of Korsun by His Holiness Alexy II, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior.
To honour the event, Vladyka has presided over the celebration of the Divine Liturgy in the Cathedral of Dormition of the Holy Mother of God and All Saints in London. A large number of parishioners wishing to join the celebration with their arch-pastor were present at the service, which was co-celebrated by the clergy of the London cathedral. Archbishop Anatoly of Kerch, Vicar of the Diocese of Sourozh, was praying in the altar during the Divine Liturgy.
After the Liturgy the Head of the Diocese was greeted by Vladyka Anatoly. Archpriest Michael Dudko, the cathedral custodian, congratulated Vladyka on behalf of the cathedral clergy and church warden and presented him with vestments.
The celebration continued in the church hall, where the festive meal was served for everyone who gathered in the cathedral on that day.
