On May 2, 2024, on Great Thursday, the day of Remembrance of the Last Supper, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the Divine Liturgy of St. Basil the Great at the Dormition Cathedral in London.

Concelebrating with His Grace were Archpriest Maxim Nikolsky, Dean of the Diocesan District of South-East England Archpriest Vitaly Polishchuk, Dean of the diocesan district of Wales, Hegumen Deiniol (Davis), Secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh Archpriest Dimitry Nedostupenko, clergy of the UOC temporarily residing in the territory of the Diocese of Sourozh, Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch,  Deacon Viktor Nikiforov and Deacon Alexander Kapustin.

Liturgical chants were performed by the choir of the Dormition Cathedral under the direction of Dmitry Tugarinov.

During the Liturgy, Bishop Matthew ordained Glyn Lasarus Jones to the diaconate.

In conclusion, His Grace the Archpastor addressed the clergy and parishioners with words of a sermon.  Simultaneous translation into English was provided by Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.
