« Bishop Elisey, Archbishop Anatoly and diocesan clergy attended an annual inter-confessional reception »

The yearly inter-confessional reception took place on the 12th May in Lambeth Palace. The reception was held on behalf of the Archbishop of Canterbury by the Right Reverend Christopher Hill, Bishop of Guildford, who is Chairman of the Church of England’s Council for Christian Unity.

After a service in the Palace Chapel, attended by the invited guests, a reception was held in the Guard Room on behalf of the Archbishop and the members of the Nikæan Club (established in 1925, the sixteenth centenary of the Council of Nicaea, with the aim of supporting the idea of Christian unity).

The Russian Orthodox Church was represented at the reception by Bishop Elisey of Sourozh, Archbishop Anatoly of Kerch, and other clergy from the Diocese of Sourozh and the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad.
