Sourozh Young Adults London

Sourozh Young Adults London is a Chrisitan spiritual and social group of the Russian Orthodox Cathedral of the Dormition of the Mother of God and All Saints (Russian Orthodox Diocese of Sourozh).
Its primary purpose is to encourage and promote Christian knowledge, worship, and love between youthful adults.
It is open to all Orthodox Christians (including catechumens) of 18 - 40+ years of age who are active members of our parish community.
Those under eighteen years of age can also join certain events on a case-by-case basis and are welcome to reach out to us.
The group generally meets in the library (or sometimes the church hall) of the cathedral on Sundays at 1pm (except the fourth Sunday of the month) for a talk by a priest and a discussion about spiritual topics (e.g. Scripture or the lives of the saints) (subject to the priests’ availability). These talks are open to everyone (i.e., to all ages, as well as those who are interested in learning more about the Orthodox faith.)
Other initiatives of the group include:
-
Visits to the grave of Metropolitan Antony
-
Sandwich runs to those living on the streets)
-
Concerts
-
Celebratory social gatherings such as picnics
-
Pilgrimages
-
Talks with youth groups from other Orthodox churches.
