The bishops attached to the Diocese of Sourozh took part in the celebration of the 90th anniversary of the restoration of patriarchal rule in Russia
Archbishop Innocent of Korsun and Bishop Elisey of Bogorodsk took part both in the celebration of the 90th anniversary of the restoration of Patriarchal rule in Russia and also in the reception of all the participants by V.V. Putin, the President of the Russian Federation, in the Kremlin. The festivities took place over 17th -19th November in Moscow. Exactly 90 years ago, in November of 1917, patriarchal rule was restored in the Russian Orthodox Church by the decision of the Local Council of the same year. On 18th November, Metropolitan Tikhon of Moscow and Kolomna was elected Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia.
