The annual conference of the Diocese of Sourozh provides a unique opportunity for people from around the country to gather in fellowship, prayer and discourse. This year it will start at 6.30pm on Friday, 23rd May and end at about 3.00 pm on Monday, 26th May. As usual, there will be services, morning and evening, and the Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Sunday.

Main Talks
- Introductory talk - Bishop Elisey of Sourozh
- The Jesus Prayer in our daily life - Metropolitan Kallistos of Diokleia
- Prayer and the Fathers of the Church - Bishop Hilarion of Vienna and Austria
- Liturgical Prayer - Father Stephen Platt
- The city a desert: Ascetic prayer in the modern world - Deacon Matthew Steenberg
- The Church in the home - Matushka Alexandra Zaitseva
Translation of the main talks will be provided (Russian into English or English into Russian, as appropriate).
Workshops
A range of workshops and discussion groups will take place on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.
Children and Youth
A parallel youth programme will run throughout the conference weekend at the extensive school grounds for children aged 5-15. It is hoped that a parent-run crèche will be available for the under 5s.
Fees
Friday evening to Monday afternoon:
- residential: £120 (£40 for under 12s);
- non-residential: £60 (under 12s: £20);
- Day visitors (including lunch & supper) £20 (under 12s: £7).
We hope to be able to provide some financial assistance for those who cannot afford the full fees. Donations to the Bursary Fund will be very welcome.
Further details of programme, fees and application forms will be available in parishes and on the diocesan website (www.sourozh.org) later in February: the closing date for applications will be March 31st 2008. If the conference is over-subscribed, priority will be given to members of the Diocese of Sourozh.
