Archpastoral visit to the Orthodox Community of St Luke in Tunbridge Wells

On 8th June, Bishop Elisey visited St Luke’s community in Tunbridge Wells in Kent. This was Bishop Elisey’s he first visit to this small Orthodox community in South England. Vladyka, Elisey presided over the celebration of the Divine Liturgy , assisted by the rector of the community, Father David Smith and the Cathedral protodeacon Fr Dimitri Nedostupenko. After the Liturgy, the Bishop greeted Fr David, wishing him and his parishioners spiritual growth and furtherance in his ministry to the Orthodox faithful.
In response and to commemorate the episcopal visit, Fr David presented the Bishop with the icon of St Augustine , the first Archbishop of Canterbury.
The fellowship continued over refreshments prepared by the community.
