Archpastoral visit of Archbishop Innokenty of Korsun to London
From 14th - 17th April, Archbishop Innokenty of Korsun, the temporary administrator of the Diocese of Sourozh, was in London on an archpastoral visit. On the 15th, the Sunday of St Thomas, he celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the London Cathedral, concelebrating with Archbishop Anatoly of Kerch and Bishop Elisey of Bogorodsk.
After the Liturgy, the regular bi-annual parish meeting of the cathedral took place inside the Church. The following officers of the parish were elected: as churchwarden, Tatiana Nosova; as secretary, Adrian Dean; and as treasurer, George Chabakauri.
It was announced that on the 6th and 13th of May the regular elections to the parish council would take place. The parish council helps the dean of the cathedral in the day-to-day administration of the parish. The list of parishioners, whose applications to become the members of the electoral roll of the cathedral have been already approved, is displayed on the notice-board.
Among the questions discussed in the meeting there were the necessity to continue the practice of everyday services established at the beginning of the year; a pilgrimage to the Holy Land was planned; and other matters.
During this archpastoral visit, Archbishop Innokenty also prayed at the tomb of Metropolitan Anthony on the day of Radonitsa.
