On January 31, 2021, on the 34th Sunday after Pentecost, the day of commemoration of Saints Athanasius (373) and Cyril (444), Archbishops of Alexandria, His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Dormition Cathedral in London.
His Grace was assisted by the Secretary of the Sourozh Diocese, Priest Dimitry Nedostupenko, and Protodeacon Vadim Santsevitch.
On the eve of the twelfth anniversary of the enthronement of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, special petitions were raised at the augmented litany, then Vladyka Matthew offered up a prayer for the health of the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church from the rite of the Thanksgiving moleben.
The liturgical hymns were sung by the singers quartet under the direction of the choir director Dmitry Tugarinov.
At the end of the Liturgy, the Right Reverend Archpastor addressed the parishioners with words of a sermon and spiritual edification.
