On August 14, 2019, Metropolitan Anthony of Korsun and Western Europe, Patriarchal Exarch of Western Europe, Head of the Directorate for Institutions Abroad of the Russian Orthodox Church and Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, temporarily Administrator of the Patriarchal parishes in the USA and Canada, met with A.V. Yakovenko, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Great Britain, at the Residence of the Russian Ambassador in London, UK.

During the conversation, a wide range of issues was discussed.  Particular attention was paid to discussing the prospects of working together with compatriots living in the UK.  The meeting participants discussed the possibilities for cooperation between the Russian Embassy in the UK and the Moscow Patriarchate Office for Foreign Institutions and the Diocese of Sourozh.
