« Divine service in the parish of Brighton on the feast of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God »

On July 21, 2019, on the 5th Sunday  after Pentecost, on the feast of the appearance of the icon of the Most Holy Mother  of God in the city of Kazan, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the parish of the Jerusalem Icon of the Mother of God in Brighton and Hove.

With the blessing of His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, Priest Dimitry Nedostupenko, Secretary of the Diocese of Sourozh, celebrated the Divine service.

After the prayer before  the ambon and glorification in front of the icon of the Kazan Mother of God, Father Dimitri addressed the congregation gathered for prayer with words of a sermon on the theme of the feast. The Father Secretary emphasized the importance of celebratory worship on the eve of the 2nd anniversary of the official establishing of the parish, approved by the Bishop’s decree of July 23, 2017.

After the service, communication continued at the meal, arranged by the parishioners.
